LEARN MORE ABOUT KERRVILLE 2050
The League of Women Voters has invited AAUW members to their meeting on January 17, 2019, at 6:00 in the River Room, Schreiner University Cailloux Campus Activity Center. Mark McDaniel, Kerrville City Manager, will give an overview of the role of the City Manager and the highlights of the Kerrville 2050 Comprehensive Plan.

Carolyn Osborn, Licensed Professional Counselor, will discuss some innovative mental health treatments now being used for patients in clinical psychology. The emphasis of her discussion is harnessing the brains’s capacity for plasticity, semi permanent changes to the brains’s neuronal wiring. She will also explain how psychology treatments target the body’s internal inflammation. Osborne will explain thereapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Psychedelics, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
