Branch Interest Groups
GREAT DECISIONS DISCUSSION GROUP
The Great Decisions Discussion group meets at 1:30 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month at First Presbyterian Church, Rm. 203 in the main office/education building. We discuss international themes based on readings in the annual “Great Decisions” published by the Foreign Policy Association. New members are welcome.
Each month, after reading the book chosen for that month, the group meets at a member’s home to view the movie based on that book. Discussion follows. The meetings are held at 1 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. Only a few selections are made in advance so we can be flexible in choosing current books and films as they become available. Please join us.

DAY BOOK GROUP
The day book group meets monthly at Security State Bank, 1130 Junction Highway, on the Second Tuesday at 2:00 pm (note exception for Christmas and June) to discuss a book we have all read. The books are chosen from suggestions by members at a brunch in June. We all help in the selection. We try to include a little of everything – mystery, history, science, Texas writers, best sellers, – just a mixture so everyone has a chance to read something she likes and perhaps something to expand her horizons a bit. We gladly welcome new members.
